Baby Preslie!
On June 16, my best friend and cousin, Taylor texted me at 5:30 in the morning telling me her water broke and she was heading to the hospital! I had a little break from school and decided to head down after church to see her at the hospital. Baby Preslie was born at 11pm and weighed 9 pounds and was 21.5 inches, BIG GIRL! Tay was tiny, so we all wondered where she held a 9 pound baby! Preslie is absolutely beautiful and I can't believe she's already three weeks old!!
New Car!
I spent the rest of the week in Tooele and headed home on Friday to get back to the hubby. We'd been researching cars and getting insurance quotes on different ones. Friday, we headed to the dealership to check out a car we saw online. It ended up being out of our price range. Though the guy who helped us was SUPER pushy and after we left, he texted, called and sent me an email all with in 10 minutes of each other and then tried to sell us a car we didn't even want... Drove me crazy! Glad we didn't buy a car from them. Saturday morning, we went on a little walk and he wanted to look to see if the lady we ALMOST bought a car from back in January was still selling her car. She lives in our neighborhood so Isaac went over. I was sooo nervous about it but Isaac didn't really care. He knocked on the door and she was so nice! She said she was looking into putting it up for sale again. It was the car we wanted and cheaper than anything else we looked at... So it was perfect! We got a loan from our bank, found insurance and the car was ours by Monday! I love it! It's a 2007 Dodge Caliber. Definitely an upgrade from by '94 buick. ;)
Fourth of July
We had planned to go down to Tooele for the 4th. Isaac had the 4th and 5th off, so we were going to head down for a four day weekend on Wednesday night. But on Monday, Jett got soo sick! Running nose, watery eyes, awful cough. Beside his diabetes and complications from it, he's never been sick. This was his first running nose. He was so miserable. Isaac and I said if he wasn't better by Wednesday, we'd just stay home for the 4th and go down on Friday. Well... On Thursday Isaac got sick and I got sick on Friday night. So we decided to just stay home. We were so miserable, I couldn't sleep on Friday night so I woke up and watched a few episodes of Chicago Fire. When I tried to go back to bed around 4, Isaac said he was going to go to the store to get some medicine. He came back and we both took some medicine and were able to sleep until 830. We could actually breathe! I absolutely hate summer colds!! They are the worst! I made a comment that we would probably not do anything for the 4th and I was right! Haha. We did set up the pool & tried to go to the fireworks in Hyrum. We got there at 7 and by 8, we were just so tired that we just headed home. So yeah we've been a bunch of sickies all week! :/
School
In the middle on June, I finished my first class of summer semester. I was able to get pretty far ahead so I had two weeks of nothing to do in the class. So I had a mini summer break. But June 24 a new semester started.. This class is going to be a bit more difficult. I have a 12 page paper to write and a few other papers to write in just 7 weeks. Eek! I only have 5 more weeks left of summer semester, yay!! I only have 5 more classes until I have my bachelors. I've gone 6 semesters with no break from school... Last week I decided, fall semester would be the perfect time to take a break so I can spend time with both my kiddos. So I am taking a leave of absence fall semester and I'm soooo excited! It's definitely a needed break! I was able to get time away from school with Jett since I had him in the summer, so I want to do the same with our baby girl. Then spring semester I will get back into school full force and be graduated by next summer or fall. I'm not in a huge rush to finish. So 5 more weeks of school and then I get a longgg 5 month break. Woo!
Baby Girl
Today, I hit the 29 week mark! Only 10 weeks to go!! This pregnancy has gone by so fast! It's probably because I've been soo busy with school and chasing a toddler around. Jett's went by so slow. Once school is out, I'm sure my last 6 weeks will go by very slow. I'm hoping to get some sewing projects going so I can keep busy and also spend some quality time with my buddy before his baby sister arrives. Anyways, I had a doctors appointment today... Everything looks great! I was measuring right at 29 weeks and babies heart rate was at 140. I get to go every two weeks now and at the end of next month I go in every week until I deliver! I was told when I was pregnant with Jett that I was a boring pregnant woman because I never had any complications. My doctor said that was a good thing. I think this pregnancy is even more boring and normal because I haven't had any swelling, I'm 20 pounds lighter now than I was at this point with Jett (yes, I know I was HUGE with Jett) and with Jett I developed pre-eclampsia (which I didn't develop until 39 weeks). But hey, I am okay with being boring!
A few weeks ago. I ordered our baby girls carseat canopy! I wanted something gender neutral but still girly. Isn't it cute? I love it and it looks so comfy!
I am very excited for this sweet girl. :)
