This is my third attempt trying to start a blog, but this time I think I will stick with it. Being a stay at home mom, leads me to get bored at times. So I think this will be good for me. :) Plus, I'm getting help from Brooke Gumucio, she is like the blogging queen! She is teaching me her ways. Thanks Brooke!
June was an exciting month for us. I started off the month being 38.5 weeks pregnant and I was ready to get that baby out! About 5 am on June 6th, I started having signs of labor. I ran into the bedroom telling Isaac we probably should go to the hospital. We got there and within the first two hours or so I was told I had toxemia, my doctor came in at 9 am telling me he was going to induce me. Of course being me, I started bawling. My doctor asked, "Why are you crying?" I told him I was scared but excited to become a mom. I called my parents and they came up immediately. The nurses told me I would only be able to have 4 people in at a time. When my family came, Isaac, my dad, step mom Michelle, Older brother Jordan, sister in-law Jessi, step sisters Audrey and Mallory and Audrey's boyfriend Zach were all in the room. They even let everyone stay! I thought I was going to be stressed out having everyone in there, but I did just fine. Even at 7 pm, I was watching the bachelorette while dilated to an 8. But I won't lie, labor pains are the worst pain, I've ever had to go through. By 11:30 pm, they were getting the room ready so I could push. Isaac and Michelle were in the room with me the whole time. By 11:40, I started pushing. My brother was outside the room checking his clock every minute to see if I would have the baby on the 6th. But Mr. Jett Isaac Wanberg got here just after midnight, 12:06 to be exact, on June 7th! He weighed 9 pounds 4 ounces and was 20.5 inches long! Big boy!
Isaac was and is definitely one proud daddy! Jett is our little Junebug :) we love him soo much!
He had to be in the NICU the whole time we were there, because I was running a fever. He had to get shots on his hands and have an IV going through his head. It made me sad, not having my baby in the room with me. He was a little trooper though! We got to go home at 6:30 the next night!
That first night was rough. But I have gotten used to getting 5 to 6 hours of sleep at night. Most of the time, the 5-6 hours usually get me pretty energized and ready for the next day. Jett is now seven weeks old. He's started to smile and roll over. He's getting way too big. It makes me sad, but then again, I'm excited to see all of the new stuff he will do.
We LOVE our baby boy! :)
