September already?!

We have been super busy with school, house stuff, kiddos, Isaac's work, ect. this summer. I have FINALLY finished school. We have FINALLY started building our house. We are so grateful for the opportunity to get an education, be able to build a home and so many wonderful other blessings. And I can't believe it's September!!

We have had a pretty chill summer. We took a little trip to St George to visit my brother and sister-in-law and it was a blast. We were able to do lots of things in just the few days we were there. We went hiking around Dixie Rock, spent time at the children's museum, went swimming, played at the splash pad, rode the carousel and so much more! St George is beautiful! Jett and Jane had so much fun spending time with their cousin Knox. Here are some picture of our trip..

Now just a little update on the kiddos and the fun things they are doing....

Jane is close to walking. She'll walk from couch to couch. She's getting more brave each day. She loves to says "uh oh" "what's that" and "wow!". She's obsessed with Frozen's Love is an Open Door and dances to it like crazy. She finally got her first tooth a few days shy of 11 months. She's getting some dark blonde hair and it may be curly. When I hold her and pat her back, she'll reach behind and try to pat mine. It's usually more of an arm pat. Haha. I can't believe she's going to be 1 in almost two weeks. Where has this year gone??

Jett is so smart and such a good big brother (most of the time). He loves to do somersaults, belt out the ABC's wherever we are, play with his tractors and diggers and wrestle with his little sister. A few days ago, we were at Walmart checking out and Jett was saying all the numbers in each of the lanes that he could see. The cashier asked how old he was and I said, 3. She was so surprised he knew his numbers and ABC's. He knew his ABC's before his 2nd birthday! He's a smart cookie. He's been more cuddly lately, too and I love it.

Love my sweet babies.

July!

School has slowed down for me quite a bit, so the last week I have just been hanging out with the kiddos, catching up on some shows and exercising a bunch. I only have one take home exam and one multiple choice exam and I will have my bachelors. It's so crazy how fast time flies. But, I am so excited to be done.

Jane is growing up WAY too fast. She pulls herself up onto everything. When she has something she thinks is cool, like a toy or the TV remote, she'll hold it out to me and say, "oooooo! ooooo!" It's adorable. When you take something away from her that she shouldn't have, she literally throws her self to the ground and cries. Sometimes she's sitting and she'll fall backwards or she'll be crawling and she plant her face into the carpet and cry. So much sass already at such a young age!

Jett is full of so much personality! He is so smart and talks so well. He is a little sass, as well. He will look at me and say, "no mom, do this, okay?!" Haha. It's the age. What they said about threes being worse than twos is soo accurate. Haha. I just hope fours aren't too bad. Though he drives me crazy most days, I wouldn't change it for the world. He also likes to tease his sister. But isn't that what big brothers do? I am still teased by my older brothers. He takes away her binkies and hides them.. I need a fund for just binkies because I have NO idea where he hides them. Haha.

I have been able to reach my pre-pregnancy without doing much except nursing but I really needed to tone up. I decided I really need to get my butt in gear and start working out more. I cut my calories, started drinking more water, cardio 30-45 minutes 3-4x a week and squats, pushups and situps every day. I have a goal and that is to be the same weight when I got married or less. I only have about 5-10 pounds to go until I reach it. Working out has been really good for me. I am happier, I sleep better, and I have more energy.

Not much going on with the house yet. I did get an update today that 5 of the families, including ours, will be able to close on our loans soon. Probably 2-3 weeks. They gave us a guess to when we will start building, they said week of August 10th. Isaac is so anxious to start. He's been getting antsy and is just ready to go. Hopefully he has this mindset all the way through the building process. :)

I know 4th of July was a week and a half ago, but it was a great time. We went to watch the Hyrum fireworks, which is a little town outside of Logan. We actually stayed to watch. Most of the time, we go home because we are tired or the kids are... but they were so good and we had a blast! No pun intended. ;)
Here are some pictures....

House building, birthday boy and more!

I really am bad at blogging. I just post sooo much stuff on fb and instagram I feel I don't need to blog. The other day, I thought to myself I really need to blog. Just for me to look back on as my babies get bigger and to remember what I was doing at that specific moment in time.. I will start writing more once I'm done with school!

I have been SUPER busy with school. I finished my practicum on June 18th and just have my psych stats class to finish and I'll be DONE. I'm so excited.

We are still waiting to hear back when we are starting on the construction of our home. Last I heard was the income ratio for the area was not balanced. We need a certain number of low income and really low income families before we can start. Could take a few weeks or months. Hopefully sooner than later. We did change our house plan and lot. A few weeks ago we were able to go through the homes currently being built and we fell in love with a different house plan. If we wanted the house plan, we had to change lots, too. Once we start building, we will have to put 35 hours a week in. Or more if we want to finish faster. Isaac will do most of the building, so he'll work 40 hours a week and then 35+ for the house building. He's going to be so busy and I will have no husband for the next 9-12 months. But it'll be worth it in the end! There are 9 families in our group. We all build each others home and no one can move in until all the homes are done. The group will build 65% of the homes and then there will be subcontractors doing the things we can't do or don't want us to do. haha. There will be a supervisor on sight to teach us how to build. We are excited to start (and to be done!).

My buddy is three! I feel so old having a three year old, but feel really young having a three year old, too. He has been such a blessing. He has the cutest personality. But can be such a stinker. But his snuggles and hugs make up for that. We had a little party for him on the 14th with my family and he had a blast spending time with his cousins. Thanks to my parents for hosting and providing the food!

How cool is the American Flag pallet? I LOVE it! My dad is super crafty!

That same weekend on the 13th, my best friend Lindsay got married. We got invited to the sealing. We were so excited to be part of her special day!

The night of the 14th, we went to Isaac's cousin's wedding reception at his parent's old church. It turned out so beautiful! And we are so excited for the happy couple!

Miss Jane is growing way too fast! She still loves to tease me when I say. "mama" and she comes back saying, "dada" a million times in a row. She loves her daddy, though. But I would definitely have to say she's a mama's girl! She just started pulling herself up. She loves to wave and to clap. When people come up to her and talk to her, she loves to snuggle into my shoulder and pretend to be shy. She loves to talk. She's such a sassy girl. She's so perfect!
